Donor Management with Salesforce: C&P Settings - Virtual Terminal

The Click & Pledge Payment as a Service Application on Salesforce includes a Virtual Terminal for manually entering transactions. Within C&P Settings > Virtual Terminal you may enter in default information to customize and speed the checkout process. Whatever changes made here will affect the C&P Virtual Terminal page. Within this area you may:

·  Enter default account, payment, tracker, campaign, shipping address and recurring payment information.

·  Customize send receipt and receipt messages.

·  Add additional questions and Double the Donation.

Here is the detailed description of the each section.


Virtual Terminal



Click & Pledge Account Information:

1. By enabling the
checkboxes for Processing Type and C&P Account Number, they will appear in the Virtual Terminal page and vice-versa.

2. In Processing Type, there are two options available. If Single transaction is selected, then only one transaction can be done. If Batch Processing is selected, then 1-999 transactions can be done in a single click. For this, .csv file should be uploaded which contains all the data regarding the transaction. Batch Upload template is available for download when the Batch Processing option is selected from the drop-down menu.

3. C&P Account Number can be selected from the drop-down menu.

Listing/Lookup Options:

4. List default items: other items may be added: If this option is enabled then the “Default Items” will be displayed
in the VT page. Also, the patron can add the items in the cart.

5. List default items: no other items may be added: If this option is enabled then only “Default Items” will be displayed
in the VT page. The patron cannot add any more items in the cart.

6. Lookup: default items are the only allowed items to be added as picklist: If this option is enabled then picklist will be displayed
in the VT page where the patron can select the item from the pick list. Only once an item can be selected. The patron cannot add any more items in the cart other than the default items.

7. Lookup: default items are the only allowed items to be added as autocomplete: If this option is enabled then you will find a text box in VT page where at least 2 characters of “Payment for” field should be given. Then the remaining will be auto complete.  Same item with different SKU can be added multiple times.

The changes made in the Listing/Lookup options will be affected in Payment Description of “C&P Virtual Terminal” tab.



Payment Description:

8. The information given here will be displayed in Payment Description section of C&P Virtual Terminal tab.

9. If the “Edit”
checkbox is enabled then the patron can change the information. If the “Edit” checkbox is disabled then the patron cannot change the information.

Additional Fees:

10. The amount given in the Total Shipping & Convenience Fee will be displayed in the C&P Virtual Terminal page. If the “Show”
checkbox is enabled then the patron can change the amount. If the “Show” checkbox is disabled then the patron cannot change the amount.

Default Items:

11. The information given here will be displayed in Payment Description section of C&P Virtual Terminal tab. If the
checkboxes are checked then edit option in Payment Description section of C&P Virtual Terminal tab will be activated. If the checkboxes are unchecked then edit option will be deactivated.

Billing / Shipping Address




Billing / Shipping Address helps to know the patron details.

12. Select the Default Country and State from the drop-down menu. This can be changed in C&P Virtual Terminal page.

13. By enabling the
checkbox, use same address as Billing (C&P Virtual Terminal > Shipping Information) will be enabled. By enabling the “Show” checkbox, this field will appear in C&P Virtual Terminal page.

14. By enabling the “Show”
checkbox, Shipping Address field will be added in C&P Virtual Terminal page.

Tracker and Campaign




15. If “Show” checkbox is enabled then Tracker and Campaign section will appear in C&P Virtual Terminal page and vice-versa.

16. Enter the tracker name in the text-box. The “Show”
checkbox of Tracker will decide whether to display Tracker option in C&P Virtual Terminal page or not.

17. Click on the Lookup and select the Transaction Campaign. The “Show”
checkbox of Transaction Campaign will decide whether to display the option in C&P Virtual Terminal page or not.

Connect Campaign/Form Name: The “Show” check-box will decide whether to display Connect Campaign/Form Name field in C&P Virtual Terminal page or not.

Recurring Payment



18. To see Recurring Payment section in C&P Virtual Terminal page, enable the “Show” checkbox.

19. If the
checkbox is enabled then it will be enabled in VT page and vice-versa. If “Show” checkbox is not enabled then this option will not be available in the VT page.

20. There are two options in Recurring type: Subscription & Installment. Whatever option is selected, it will be displayed and the other can be selected from the drop-down menu in the VT page. If “Show”
checkbox is enabled, recurring type can be select from the drop-down menu. If “Show” checkbox is disabled, then whatever option is selected in Virtual Terminal will be considered in VT page. The patron cannot select the recurring type on his own.

21. Select the periodicity from the drop-down menu which should be displayed
in the VT page. If the “Show” checkbox is enabled then the option will be displayed in VT page else it won’t display.

22. Indefinite Recurring will be available only for
subscription. If the checkbox is enabled then maximum of 999 times the recurring will perform. If the checkbox is disabled then the patron has the choice of enabling the checkbox at the VT page.

23. Maximum of 999 installments, a patron can avail the recurring payment.

24. Enable the “Show”
checkbox so that it will appear in VT page. The patron can select the future date until the recurring payment continues.

Payment Methods




25. Charge Date helps to do the transaction in past, present and future dates with Credit Card. All the other payment methods other than credit card will work only on present date. If the Checkbox is disabled then all the transactions will be processed immediately.

26. Entry mode can be of two types: Manual or Card reader. The option which is selected here will be shown
in the VT page. Other option can be selected from the drop-down menu. If “Show” checkbox is disabled then whatever option is selected here will be considered automatically without patron’s choice.

27. Whatever payment methods enabled here will be displayed
in the VT page. Patron can select the payment methods according to his choice. A new payment method can be created by clicking on Add button.

NOTE: Custom Payment Type will not work for recurring payment.

28. Select the default payment method so that the same payment method will be considered as default in VT page.

Receipt Customization




29. Enable the “Show” checkbox so that it will appear in the VT page.

30. Enable the “Send Receipt”
checkbox so that “Send Email to Patron” checkbox will be enabled in the VT page. Make sure that the “Show” checkbox is enabled so that it will appear in the VT page.

31. Whatever information mentioned here will be replicated in the VT page. This can be edited, changed according to the convenience. Make sure that the “Show”
checkbox is enabled so that it will appear in the VT page.

Additional Questions




32. Enable the “Show” checkbox so that it will appear in the VT page.

33. Enable the
checkbox for “Allow adding questions in VT” so that “Add Question” button will be displayed in the VT page.

34. The questions & answers which are given here will be displayed in VT page. Questions cannot be edited but answers can be edited
in the VT page. By enabling the mandatory checkbox, the patron must answer the question in the VT page. Mandatory answers text-area will be indicated by a red line. 

NOTE: Answers can be separated by keeping semi-colon (;). If there are two or more answers, then
drop-down menu will appear to answer the question.



Pledge Payment Defaults

35. The SKU & Campaign which is mentioned here will be auto-populate in the C&P Pledge page under Pledge Payment Default section. 



Advanced Features



36. These are the additional features where you can change the Authorization redirect page, Decline redirect page and Error redirect page. For creating the VF pages, you can use the necessary Salesforce parameters.

Eg: - If the Authorization Redirect Page wants to show the total charged then use this Salesforce parameter: {!$CurrentPage.parameters.TC}

Third Party




37. This field will be displayed only when DTD is integrated to Click & Pledge (C&P Settings > Third Party). By enabling the checkbox, you will find the Double the Donation section in the VT page where the patron should enter the company name to which he is donating.
