Donor Management with Salesforce: Recurring Detailed Page

Recurring transactions may be updated with new information to be reflected in the future occurrences. 

The following actions may be taken on a recurring transaction:
 
  • Edit Field Set
     
  • Cancel Recurring 
     
  •  Edit Contact information (reflected on the receipt)  
     
  • Edit credit card Information
     
  •  Charge next 
     
  • Activity
     
  • Field Set
     
  • Re-Process 
  • Issue Credit

The following updating options are available for a recurring transaction:
 
  • Edit Field Set: It enables to edit the fields in the Field Set section. After entering the required information in those fields, click on SAVE.
     
  • Cancel Recurring: Canceled transactions will no longer run and will be removed from the queue.
  • Edit Contact Info: Changes need to be first made to the Contact record.  By clicking on the update contact info. the new information will be submitted to the recurring processor for inclusion in the next recurring payment.
  • Edit Credit Card Info: Options will be provided for providing new credit card information for future payments.

 

  • Charge Next: The next payment in the cycle will be processed.  The next payment will run as before.  For example:   In October the November payment is processed ahead of schedule.  In November, the next payment that was originally scheduled for December will run.
  • Activity: It helps to assign tasks to others. This option is for internal use only. Click on the Activity button to view its option:



    Assigned to, Subject, Status and priority were the mandatory fields. Remainder and attachments were the extra options available.
     
  • Field Set: A field set is a grouping of fields. Field sets can be displayed on Visualforce pages and added to manage packages. Organizations with field sets deployed can add, remove, or rearrange fields from the field set, without altering the Visualforce page. To add the fields in the field set, go to Setup > App Setup > Create > Objects > C&P Recurring (Click on it) > Field Sets > Add the required fields.

NOTE: If the custom fields were created for lookup fields, then those will also display in the Field Set section.  
  • Re-Process: In the C&P Recurring tab any declined recurring transaction may be processed again and placed back into the queue.

 

  • Issue Credit: In the C&P Recurring tab any successful recurring transaction amount may be credited back.
NOTE: 



The following screen appears in three scenarios:

1. If the next installment is in past date then the above screen will appear.

2. If the first installment was done in one instance and the second installment in the other instance then the above screen will appear.

In these cases follow the below steps:



1. Click on C&P Temporary Contacts.

2. Enter the Recurring ID in the Search bar.

3. Click on the ID.



4. Enable the radio button.

5. Click on Process.
