Donor Management with Salesforce: Custom Mapping

Custom mapping allows mapping to the Account, Contact, or Opportunity objects based on SKU & Custom Question.
 

Map based on SKU

 
  1. Click on C&P Settings
  2. Click on Custom Mapping
  3. On the SKU tab, select "Account:, "Contact", or "Opportunity" for Object Map.
  4. Select the desired field to map. Most custom fields are supported; however, fields with data types that require validation, e.g. URL fields, email fields, may not be accessible
  5. Choose a SKU condition.
  6. Enter a value for the field in Custom Text. For drop-down fields, you will need to create a mapping rule for each option.
  7. After entering the required fields, click on Add/Update button to add or update the map rule.
 

Map based on Custom Question



  1. Click on C&P Settings
  2. Click on Custom Mapping
  3. On the Custom Question tab, select "Account:, "Contact", or "Opportunity" for Object Map.
  4. Select the desired field to map. Most custom fields are supported; however, fields with data types that require validation, e.g. URL fields, email fields, may not be accessible
  5. Enter your question exactly as it appears on the form.
  6. If you expect a specific answer/s, enter the value in Answer. If you expect multiple specific answers, you will need to create multiple mapping rules. If you would like the Patron's answer, regardless of what it is, to populate the field, leave this blank.
  7. To replace a specific answer with a different value, enter the replacement value in the Replace text with field.
