Donor Management with Salesforce: C&P Settings - Countries and States

Typically forms post the entire Country or State name. This feature allows you to select the ISO standard abbreviations for Countries and States. This helps with standardizing your mailing lists. To control how Countries and States are posted, follow the below steps:



Step 1: Login to your Salesforce account.

Step 2: Click on the “C&P Settings” tab.

Step 3: Click on the “Countries & States” tab.

Step 4: Country Address Format: Format can be displayed in either full form or in country code abbreviation. Based upon the requirement, enable the radio button.

Step 5: State / Province Address Format: Format can be displayed in either full form or abbreviation. Based upon the requirement, enable the radio button.

NOTE: If abbreviation option is selected then short forms will appear only in Contact & Account information. In receipt, the names of the countries and states will appear in full form only.

Step 6: After making the changes, click on “Save” button to save the changes.

Step 7: By clicking “Delete and Reset” button, the following screen will appear.



Once you click on “Synchronize Country and State/Province Database” button, then the whole data will get reset. Make sure that you have at least 8MB of data storage available. To check your data storage information, go to Setup > Administration Setup > Data Management > Storage Usage.
